When looking for an local loan officer you want to start by finding someone that has been in the business for at least 2 years or more. You can’t learn this industry in a book.
Every single loan application is a new case study and there are very rarely any two identical borrowers. The loan officer needs the experience and previous knowledge to understand how to best position your loan application to give you the best shot at attaining a mortgage.
The longer you are in the business it isn’t always the best answer either. You want a loan officer that still has the drive and discipline to do what is right at all times for their client. Customers have all the power in choosing who they want to work with in 2019 and it is up to that lender to earn it. Whether they do $100,000,000 in closings a year or $5,000,000 over 2 years the client has to feel comfortable knowing that the individual and their team if they have one, has their best interest in mind at all times.
My saying to all my clients at some point of the process is “no one wins unless you close”. And closing as smooth and easy as possible is my goal with each and every one of my clients. My passion and dedication will always shine through … and the client will know that I have their back from day one.
